London\/Tokyo, 10 March 2021\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501, \u201cHitachi\u201d) is today proud to announce it has become a Principal Partner for COP26, the International Climate Change Summit taking place in Glasgow this November. Through the partnership, Hitachi will champion decarbonisation and support the UK Government, which holds the COP26 Presidency.<\/p>\nHitachi is becoming a climate change innovator, helping governments, cities and companies cut their greenhouse gas emissions. The company recently joined the UN\u2019s Race to Zero campaign through the Business Ambition for 1.5\u00b0C, committing to aligning its business with the most ambitious aim of the Paris Agreement – to limit global temperature rise to 1.5\u00b0C above preindustrial levels.<\/p>\n
