Bangkok, Thailand, March 11, 2014\u00a0<\/strong>— Hitachi Asia Ltd. today announced the appointment of Mr. Yasuo Mizutani as Managing Director of Hitachi Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. where he will assume responsibility for managing the Hitachi Asia Thailand operations, driving growth for its Social Innovation Business and building synergy among the Hitachi Group of Companies in Thailand.<\/p>\nWith a long experience in the ASEAN market, Mr. Mizutani was formerly the Deputy Managing Director at Hitachi Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Also, he will still concurrently assume the position as General Manager, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Group and Power & Infrastructure Systems Group, Hitachi Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd.<\/p>\n
He will succeed Mr. Kazuo Karasawa, who after five years of leading the operations in Hitachi Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd., will assume a leadership position in Hitachi, Ltd. as Head of Division, Sales & Marketing Division, Rails Systems Company, Hitachi, Ltd. with effect from April 1, 2014.<\/p>\n
\u201cThailand, which used to be positioned as one of the most important manufacturing base for Hitachi, is now a high potential market for us. It\u2019s also a hub region for the company in expanding and launching its business in neighbouring countries like Myanmar and Laos,\u201d noted Mr. Mizutani. \u201cThe country is a vital part of Hitachi Asia\u2019s operations and my immediate task is to ensure Hitachi\u2019s commitment to the market and to support Thailand businesses in a wide range of industries.<\/p>\n
Mr. Mizutani joined Hitachi Sales Corporation in 1987 and after holding various supervisory positions in the company, he moved to Hitachi, Ltd. in 1995.<\/p>\n
In 1996, he was appointed Assistant Manager, Asia & Middle East Sales Department, Home Appliance and IT Media International Sales Division, Hitachi Ltd. After a year, he was relocated to Singapore to join the Hitachi Consumer Products Singapore Pte. Ltd. as Manager of Product Planning Section.<\/p>\n
In 2001, he moved to Hitachi Asia Ltd. as Senior Manager, Product Planning Section, Digital Media Systems Group. In 2008, he was assigned Senior Manager, Group Company Office, Hitachi Capital Corporation. After which, Mr. Mizutani was assigned as President Director of PT Hitachi Modern Sales Indonesia from 2010 to March 2013 to promote business expansion in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Seikei University in Tokyo in 1987.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
