The second edition of LTA-UITP Singapore International Transport Congress and Exhibition (SITCE) was held from 19-21 October 2016, at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. The event attracted major transport stakeholders such as authorities, policy makers, urban planners, transport operators and solution providers.<\/p>\n

With a forward-looking theme of “Innovating Transport for Liveable Cities”, Hitachi highlighted its capabilities as a total transport solutions provider and engaged in meaningful collaborative discussions with partners and stakeholders of solving the challenges faced in urban transport. Its suite of innovative and total transport solutions showcased included Asset Management Solutions, Predictive Maintenance Systems, Intelligent Security Solutions, People Flow Analysis Solutions, and its track record in rolling stock and train signaling systems, including the Class 800 series train models that it has supplied to the U.K. By underscoring the integration of rolling stock with signalling, power, security and ICT solutions, visitors were shown a strong and sustainable rail foundation to support the region’s growth. For instance, the award-winning fingervein system, which employs a decompression and compression technology, directly addresses the growing security threats in Singapore. Furthermore, the 3D visualization of People Flow Analytics coupled with the anonimity of CCTV images also emphasized Hitachi’s strong stance towards consumer co-creation in its Social Innovation Businesses.<\/p>\n

Hitachi’s booth attracted close to 650 visitors throughout the three days of exhibition. Esteemed visitors to the booth included Mr. Kenji Shinoda, Ambassador of Japan in Singapore from the Japan Embassy, as well as representatives from Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) and East Japan Rail Company (JR East) such as Mr. Chua Chong Kheng, Deputy Chief Executive of LTA and Mr Masaki Ogata, Vice Chairman of JR East.<\/p>\n<\/div>
